CHEEK ENHANCEMENT
The loss of facial volume that occurs with ageing results in several changes to the face, including the flattening or drooping of the cheeks. The loss of collagen and the shifting of facial lipids are the main contributors to this, which can age the face.
This sagging of the cheeks causes hollowness under the eyes, the tear trough area and the formation of nasolabial folds.
Cheek fillers, sometimes referred to as a cheek augmentation procedure, add volume to and around the cheekbone area. Dermal fillers are performed to provide that immediate "plumping" effect, restoring and enhancing the volume of the cheeks and giving definition to the natural cheekbone structure, replenishing the youthful features of the face.
HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?
A full assessment will be followed through with Zinab, to ensure that you are the correct candidate for the procedure. Zinab will then decide how much filler you will need and where it will be distributed based on your individual anatomy and desired outcome.
HOW DOES CHEEK FILLER WORK?
Zinab distributes dermal filler along the cheekbone area, depending on patient goals and which areas require more volume. The Hyaluronic Acid within the dermal filler, binds with water molecules to plump the skin, which gives a natural, plump result, once the cheeks are healed. We advise that you remain hydrated after treatment, for optimal results. Numbing cream is applied to the cheeks before treatment. Treatment will be performed with the use of a needle, and once the procedure is complete, Zinab will remind you of aftercare.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes in total. A thorough consultation will be included, before the procedure, which will also take approximately 20-30 minutes.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Results typically last for 3-9 months. At Zéle Clinic, Zinab advises that first time patients may need to return for a following 3 week top up, to build on the volume of the cheeks, to maintain desired results.
